Inside our ReStores, donations, volunteers, and the community come together for a common purpose. Donated materials, equipment, and home goods are resold at discounted prices, and the revenue supports our work in San Luis Obispo County. Our ReStores provide a major source of funding for our work in San Luis Obispo County for new construction, home preservation and neighborhood revitalization projects. What’s more, as items are donated and resold, we help divert useable materials from the landfill while providing lower-cost options for local homeowners to pursue home renovation projects of their own. Donations to our organization are tax deductible.

The ReStores are a critical part of Habitat and couldn't run without hundreds of volunteer hours.

Responsibilities may include cashiering, helping customers, pricing, organizing displays, donation intake/cleaning, and moving materials/furniture. We also need volunteers to ride-along with our staff to pick up donations throughout the county on Thursdays. No prior experience needed, although knowledge of home improvement, materials, and tools is always a plus!
